    On this week's episode of the #mavpuckcast, Jason and Jon talk about the "revived" Omaha Hockey team's resurgence as they took on Denver in a 2-game series at Baxter Arena. They look at a new tradition that sprouted up at UNO games involving John Denver's song "Take Me Home, Country Roads." They look at an interesting "fan perk" done recently for a WMU Hockey road game — and discuss whether or not UNO should do something similar. Various playoff scenarios in the NCHC are analyzed, along with the team's NCAA tournament chances. They conclude the episode with their predictions for the upcoming regular season finale against North Dakota on March 4 and 5 at Baxter Arena.

    For the fourth time this season, junior goaltender Isaiah Saville was named NCHC Goaltender of the Week as part of the Bauer NCHC Players of the Week for the week of Dec. 6-12, 2021. 

    Saville’s heroics lifted the Mavs to a split during the weekend road swing at Western Michigan on Nov. 10-11. The highlight of the weekend was a 41-save shutout performance in the second game in the series, allowing UNO to eke out a 1-0 win over the Broncos. His three shutouts this season tie him for sixth nationally.
