Omaha Mavericks Hockey junior forward Cam Mitchell nets the #6 play in the NCHC Top 5 Plays of the Week – Nov. 26, 2024. Mitchell’s short-handed goal in the Nov. 22 game against Miami (OH) at Baxter Arena was the featured play. The goal came at the 17:22 mark in the second period of the game. Omaha forward Sam Stange was able to snag the puck from Miami defenseman Conner Hutchison. Stange chipped it up the ice into Omaha’s offensive zone, followed it in, and made a spinning pass to Mitchell in the slot. Mitchell’s first attempt on Miami goalie Ethan Dahlmeir was denied.
