Omaha Hockey’s Joaquim Lemay was named NCHC Defenseman of the Week in the KJ Branding National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Players of the Week — Nov. 6-12, 2023.
This is the second time in the 2023-24 campaign that the sophomore defenseman has received the honor from the NCHC.
The Saint-Pierre-les-Becquets, Quebec, native had 1 goal and 2 assists during the Nov. 10-11 series against Long Island at Baxter Arena. The game-winning goal came during the 3-on-3 overtime period in the Nov. 11 game against the Sharks.
Lemay has 3 goals and 3 assists in five games for the Mavericks this season.
Additionally, junior forward Ty Mueller was a nominee for NCHC Forward of the Week and freshman forward Tanner Ludtke was nominated for NCHC Rookie of the Week.
