Two Mavericks — goalie Isaiah Saville and forward Taylor Ward — earned Bauer NCHC Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 25-31, 2021. 

Ward — a senior forward from Kelowna, B.C. — racked up five goals and three assists in a series against Long Island University on Oct. 29-30 at Omaha’s Baxter Arena. 

Saville — a junior netminder from Anchorage, AK — posted a shutout against LIU on Oct. 29 at Baxter Arena. He is 6-1-0 on the season, with a .931 save percentage and a 1.55 goals-against average in net. 

Other UNO Hockey nominees included junior defenseman Brandon Scanlin (Defenseman of the Week) and freshman defenseman Davis Pennington (Rookie of the Week).
