In case some didn't see the email from the ticket office:
I hope that this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. Your support of Omaha hockey has been critical during this pandemic, and it will continue to be as we navigate an ever-changing landscape.
Like you, we are excited to get back to Baxter Arena for a new season of Maverick hockey. As you will see in the video from Coach Gabinet and the players, our team has put in the work this offseason and will be ready to go when it’s time to drop the puck.
In the coming days, the NCHC will be releasing information regarding the upcoming hockey season. As an official start date to the season is confirmed, we will have more information on policies and procedures related to your season tickets and attendance at Baxter Arena.
Challenges are nothing new to a team in the best college hockey conference in the country, and our players and coaches are ready for those tests. In closing, please know that we will do our best to communicate any changes to the upcoming season so that you can once again root for your team. As always, stay safe and stay healthy. Go Mavericks!
Sounds like it will start after Nov. 20.
Any thoughts about how it will look? Conference only? Starting the schedule ‘as it was scheduled’ after Nov. 20?
It will be interesting to see what the NCHC comes up with
fans or no fans? there was a q and a with josh fenton and he indicated that would be up to state and local officials to decide.
the Q and A is here:
a recent development has been a discussion of playing in hub cities. an interesting concept to be sure.
there are so many unknowns at this point. it will be a season like no other. I'm about ready to go grab a bunch of people and go cough on some old folks at the nursing home so everyone else can go on with life.....
I have heard rumors that Ralph Engelstad Arena is a bubble for UND Hockey. The rumors go as far as to say UND Hockey players never set foot on campus -- all learning is done remotely at REA.
**THIS IS UNCONFIRMED RUMOR**
But... if this true, is it unreasonable for all teams in the NCHC to bubble up at the Ralph?
