Teammates with Taylor Ward on Penticton Vees, ironically both wear #17

UND message boards say that he wasnt getting playing time, wants top 2 D-man minutes, and they have 'lots of talent' coming in, so him looking elsewhere to get the PT was expected.

That's a big get for omaha to have him.   If we have a season next year this UNO team could possibly end up in the top 4.

I don’t remember having a lot of good luck with transfers from other schools especially UND. I don’t have a photographic memory but after the very early days I don’t remember someone who has been a big enough difference maker to take us from almost to contender. The last one I remember was that goalie who also came from UND. He left such an impression that if you said his name to me out of context I wouldn’t know who you meant.

"The goalie from UND" would be Tomek. I had high hopes for him. He put up stellar numbers in juniors - both NAHL and USHL. He never really got a chance in college - at either school.

I remember his one start here in Omaha, against Notre Dame - just thinking: No matter how bad this game gets, let him finish it. He simply needed to play a full 60-minute college game. It never happened.

We've had better success recently with Conley and Knoepke.

Trying to think of other transfers we've had outside of the inaugural team. Kyle Mountain?
