A pair of Brooks? Does that beat a pair of deuces?

    Bridget: yay! Us: yay!

    You had Connor on? Why?

    Fail, Jason. FAIL.

Western was so bad for so long before Blashill and Murray.

Murray doesn’t recruit college hockey players – he recruits guys who he wants to prepare for the NHL. That is his sell on the program. And having been an NHL Head Coach – he has that card.

Friday. Moving on! Moving on!... Moving on!

Corsi is a fake statistic. Don’t ever reference it again.

“You don’t score on 100% of the shots you don’t take.” I can’t remember who said it. But I’m pretty sure he is well-known. Grayski? Gretson? Brent Gretzky? Oh yeah… Wayne. Wayne Gretzky. That’s the guy.

40 shots… that was a light day for me in juniors.

    Yes, ok… Saturday… let’s go. Talk.

Western… what do you expect? Just listen to their fans. Garbage. Trash. Rubbish. Waste of space.

I am of the opinion that this Podcast would be great if it was just Jon and Bridget.

Player of the week. Saville. Ward. Keck.

Ahhh. Superstition. The reason for everything in hockey. That said, I need my white hat back from Saturday. GET IN THE BASEMENT, JON!

I’m trying to think who stood out on Friday. A whole lot of bad. I don’t think Conley was on my Twizzlers List. Meh… Conly had a play that left me baffled on Friday for not hustling.

    Sullivan is a decent pick.

Oh, the zebras. Rankin and Fitzpatrick. Even Don Adam said Fitzy had a rough game. Refs are allowed to have bad days, too.

Did you not read my Twitter, Jon? The NCHC called that out last weekend in response to my request to schedule nothing but conference home games.

77 is Scott Fitzpatrick. Local fire fighter. You want his phone number or home address?

Athletes are always looking for advantage. The Patriots do it better than anyone else.

Yes, two centers… or send a winger to get kicked out. There is a belief that refs will try to not go to the delay of game protocol, so the standard gets looser. (See my twitter thread.)

Bussi is a headcase. He spent Saturday night in BOTH series with Omaha flopping around. But, the blocker to Ward’s head needs to be punished. Again, refs afraid to make the big call – it’s game changer to give a goalie a major in college. Bussi would’ve had to serve those five minutes.

The reaction to the penalty by Bussi was very soccer-like.

Bussi is certainly like to handle the puck.

Kalamazoo in spring break does not scare me. Just keep us out of Magness.

Until Bussi graduates, UNO needs to make it part of their strategy against the Broncos to bump Bussi at every chance. He will fall over like a Jenga game, and then just be in his own head the rest of the night. Lacks mental toughness.

    Oooooh… BRIDGET RANT!

Did not notice the moved kiosk. But now I do realize it is not there at the west stairs. The one at the east stairs has always been there.

Have I mentioned I need a new hat?

Oh… the bag rant. Moving on?

    Bridget is outing people again.

Candy Canes. You are such a horrible person! Claim they are peppermints, and they are for stomach issues.

    Moving on?

    Valid point on potential breakage.

Bridget is wound up like Jon on Sprite.

No. Candy Canes are offensive. Maybe he was Agnostic or Atheistic.

    Next. Topic. Please.

Jon, can you index these podcasts, so I can skip ahead to the next chapter/topic?

Oh… we moved on. Fan engagement with players. Love the idea. Skate with the Mavs. The autograph line following the last home game of the season.

Hockey 101 sounds like fun. I’m trying to talk NCHC Director of Officials, Don Adam, to do something similar. Would really like to see a weekly “here is what the fans think we got wrong” video.

What are we talking about? I’ve lost interest and track.

Jon doesn’t know hockey. One word: apple.

Yes, let’s talk more about bags.

Duluth. Cold. Shores of Superior. Aerial Bridge. Hunter Shepard is old.

The Bulldogs are the only team to sweep us.

Who said SCSU had games in hand on us? Not true. Everyone is on 16 conference games played.

    Players lurking on the podcast!

    Listen to Bridget, boys!

UNO needs to fix the power play. Start with a new zone entry. Then be more aggressive with shots. It’s starting to look like a Dean Blais power play. Shots through traffic create problems for the goaltenders.

Noob is taking over the podcast.

    Bridget… you’re still mad.

    Cell phone! That’s a fine!

    Go Mavs.

I am curious to what your angle on this message board is?

You seem to go out of your way to destroy every week's podcast with making the ones doing it seem like they don't know anything compared to the almighty you.

Does it make you feel better than us?

As is with anything, if you don't like the podcast, you can choose not to listen to it and move on with your life.  Whats the point in constantly bashing what they at least have the want to try to do for the fans and friends?  If theirs is so bad and incorrect, I dont see you having one.  At least they are trying.

Kevin, you're welcome to ignore my commentary. You obviously don't understand sarcasm. To use your words: If you don't like what I post, move on.

I've known Jon and Bridget for years. They know me. If they have a problem with me, they've never had a problem approaching me in a respectful manner about it.

No. Anderson decommited from UNO on Nov. 7 - citing a lack of privacy and the need to get away from a guy in a Michigan jacket.

Anderson committed to Sacred Heart on Dec. 18.

Interesting that you resort to name calling me a player-stalker.  How mature of you.  Yes, I also get the weasel reference to Michigan, when you quote me on here.  Ironic that you know about me but never talk to me, and you call ME the stalker in your quotes.  Classy.

At least we talk to the players and their families and get to know them off the ice.

I mean, how Trump-esque of you to spew hate, just to make yourself feel better.  Hope mommy and daddy are proud of you.

By the way, your "multiple sources" (I have THREE sources indicating he is still committed to Omaha -- including the USHL.) were apparently crap.

You think you're the only person who talks to players and parents?

At least I've never attempted to buy an underage recruit drinks at a local establishment. Did you think people wouldn't find out about that? How do you think I found out?

Having been a member of the media, I am trained in Mass Media Ethics. If you're going to report something, you need a source and verification. I'm holding the higher standard, here. Say what you want -- but I'll believe the USHL, College Hockey Inc., and others with better reputations before I believe an angry hockey dad who wants to feel important and continually puts this program in jeopardy.

If you want to pull stunts like that -- go back to Michigan. Don't destroy this program for your own jollies.

...oh, and you're little post on facebook about Brandon Bussi? Total crap. They were teammates in Muskegon. Bussi's tweet was nothing more than a gentle ribbing among friends. But you obviously don't understand humor.

...and yes, my parents are proud of me.

I'm going to lay this out for you, since you don't seem to understand basic concepts of communication and ethics.

You are not a verifiable source. At best, you are certifiable. Your report of Anderson not coming to Omaha was hearsay. Fine, you had some insider information. However, we cannot assume you heard correctly. For all we know you heard Anderson say he 'thinks' or 'is considering' not coming to Omaha. For all we knew at that time Anderson was blowing you off -- telling you he wasn't coming to Omaha so you would stop hounding him. I will not go into further detail of your encounter with him

At that point, and up until the first week of November, Anderson was committed to Omaha. The USHL and College Hockey, Inc. are verifiable sources. They are in the business of promoting these young men to the university, major junior, and professional ranks. For whatever reason, Anderson had not completed the required documentation or protocols to officially reopen his recruiting process. That is fact, and that is what we had to work with as information.

As far as your concern about my posting on this message board. I do not care. I appreciate what Jon, Jason, and Bridget do. Yes, there is some snark involved. But they, as people who have met me, understand that personality trait of mine. They also know where to find me if they have an issue with it. I suspect you know where to find me, as well. And if not -- ask Jon or Bridget, or any other moderator within the Mavpuck group.

No, I do not have a podcast. That does not diminish my insights and perspectives. I simply do not care to speak into a microphone and record my thoughts in that manner. I do, however, post my thoughts on twitter -- something you would know if I hadn't blocked you three years ago when I identified you as nothing more that a certifiable jackball.

In closing, you need to heed your own advice. If you don't like what I post, what I say. Ignore it. Move on. Nobody is forcing you to read my posts. But I do know there are people who appreciate my perspective and contributions to Omaha Hockey. I will not let you stop me.

Haven't even listened to this week's podcast yet.  Having just listened to Episode 15 and having just commented that I wanted to see more discussion on podcast posts......this isn't what I was expecting for discussion haha!

I'll listen to Episode 16 in a minute, but......everybody is entitled to their opinion or goals when it comes to commenting on here or when it comes to how closely they follow past, present or recruited players.  Chris is probably the person on here or anybody that follows Mav hockey that I know the best.  Chris is definitely a snarky son of a bitch.  And I'm not necessarily sticking up for him, he can do that himself.  But I know and understand that trait of his.  I also know that I don't know Mav hockey as well as he does, so yes, in that sense sometimes his knowledge in combination with his snarkiness, it can come across as though he thinks he knows everything.

And I don't always agree with Chris.  Us both having a pretty sound knowledge of hockey as a game, I generally agree with him on most things.  But I don't agree with crap you post either Kevin, but I'm a laid back guy and don't care because those are things you believe.

I've also said, and mostly because I felt like I was at least part of the reason Jim had said he wanted to leave the board because people didn't agree with what he said, but I've said that text is the hardest form of communication.  The reader is left to form their own impression of what somebody is saying solely based on words.  I didn't have any intent on pissing him off, and he admitted to having a bad day that day.  Fine, good.  We can disagree on things and discuss them like rational human beings.  But it helps to understand a person's personality when reading their material.  Chris is unabashed when it comes to things he believes, so are you Kevin.
