Friday night in Grand Forks: Who is your starting goalie?

Does Roden get another start based on his play at Maine?

Is it Saville's net upon his return from the WJC?

Do you go all 'Dean Blais' on everyone and start Zab?

    Show your work.

Roden’s net Friday, Saville Saturday. I think he earned it. I think it would do Saville good to watch one, at times he didn’t look to be as sharp as I would have liked. I played the position once, in an club game, I know it isn’t easy but I think watching one would help him grow/mature. Make him WANT it back. He’s a great kid, we all know that, and I look forward to a couple of years with a one-two punch. Not a platoon, but two solid tenders who rise to the occasion.

I think Saville gets the start Friday. Depending on what happens in that first game, Roden might get the start on Saturday.

This is a tough one. Roden played well in the Friday matchup at Maine — stopping 46 of 48 shots. He’s logged more playing time the few couple weeks.

I’d be tempted to start Roden on Friday for the mere fact that he’s faced more game action. That might be a better scenario for UNO than bringing in a goaltender cold.

I'm guessing Saville starts both nights.

and if I'm the coach I want to see more Jason smallidge and less ryan jones.

I think Jones is playing head and shoulders above where he was last year. Whether it was injury, "fit", or personal, he didn't look engaged. This year I have been very pleased with his efforts, and, he has made a good many great plays on both offense and defense. This year, it looks like Schuldt is the one struggling. Sophomore slump I guess. Nice to see him get his first goal though. And Brushette finally found the net after a bunch of iron! Looking forward to the lineup this week. The green meanies will be out in force looking to extend. And there, in front of the net, the last line of defense, stood...

... and so it appears to be Saville tonight.
