Matching last's wins by December... we could do it in the non-coference season, and still go 0-for-the NCHC.

Jon and Bridget are now mandated to have dinner with Austin Roden every week.

Don't we all feel a lot better about this season? So far.

Jason is an Avs fan? OK, his opinion about everything is invalidated.

It is recommended that if you have graduated high school that you take JC courses in juniors. Seeing freshmen taking summer courses is great, makes sense to continue academic progress. Fewer distractions, more time for studying.

ASU's Johnny Walker is a product of University of Nebraska-Online High School. WTF is that? Doesn't seem legit.

Fabulous Monday Night effort? Pass the dutchie on the left hand side.

You are correct, Jon. Manitoba was in the Stampede in 2007. Huntsville and Canisius filled out the field.

Shootouts are never great. Just stop the madness with this. Games can end in ties. We don't need a winner.

ESPN had an interesting article on UAH and their fans last year. Apparently it is an experience. Let's hope they can build something. They had success at D-2, they actually do have fans... Hoping they can find a conference.

Jason, let's petition the hockey gods to change a major power play to JUST ONE POWER PLAY in the stats. Omaha should've been 5-for-4 on the PP Friday. Think about it, no matter how that major PP goes, the team takes at least 0-for-1 at the tail end. How is that correct or even accurate?

Friday night was great. Homecoming is always great. But why can't they fill the section every night?

Good clarification, Jon. Don't touch the recruit.

Players have gotten bigger. Can remember when Illinois-Chicago had ONE player at 6'-3", and people wondered if he could play at that size. Now, that's barely above average.

"You may think you're helping, but you're not", Jon....

Oh, we were talking about games?

A lot of players you COULD talk about. Let's talk about one you DON'T want to talk about, Jason.

Seeing those seem passes more in all three zones, so far this year.

Abate was good. Friday, he just couldn't get the puck to settle. I still haven't seen Brushette show up where I'd like him to - not buying everyone else's hype on him, yet.

Some players just don't have that finishing move on the breakaway. They over think, or they had one move and it got stopped once, and they get away from it.

Weiss and Keck could present a huge matchup problem for teams with all that speed. Think about going in to St. Cloud or Anchorage on an international-sized sheet with those two on the flanks... and all that space.

    Evan Weninger at Minnesota State.

    DEAD AIR!

Talking about unexpected names in record books. Rodney McLeod -- and his name will never be removed from the record books. First win, first shutout in program history.

Sullivan's absence is the prospect for even more hope. Again, I point to the Ward video that Sullivan was back in a black sweater - not the yellow non-contact sweater.

Any word on Enns? Will it be a rotation in the #6 defensive spot (Enns, Smallidge, Roy)? (Proctor was the #7 both nights.)

NCHC needs a better deal with CBSSN. Every weekend. Both nights. Let's make it happen.

You people and your apps. Sigh. Simplfy. Don't get me started on apple, Jon.

Guys, just find someone named 'Karen' to talk to Learfield's manager. Done. Move on.

If the University set a distance parameter, let's get the pitchforks and torches. Silly to limit Omaha's exposure. You're not going to bring many fans in from more than 75-100 miles out. Let the feed go nationwide.

    Thank God, Ahlers is gone.

Not liking this 75-mile radius. What if I'm out of town? To be honest, I love having Sirius XM (new to me this summer). I can pick up a Blackhawks game (or a Jets game, or a Bears game) no matter where I am... and it's one-stop shopping. I'm not channel scanning in my car to find the local feed.

I'm kinda tired of blackout areas. It's 2019, almost 2020. If we pay for the channel, just give us the damn feed. I'm paying for NESN - why shouldn't I be allowed to watch the Bruins?

You're reminding me I need to catch up on 'Wait, wait...'

B1G is wide open. Wisconsin faltered. Michigan failed to win. Michigan State has been down. Really, it's Penn State, Notre Dame, and... Ohio State.

Just wondering where UNO is if they had hired Rohlik instead of Blais.

Is it too early to call this a statement weekend for the Mavs? Sweep is huge. Split would be great. But I don't think getting swept is a disaster. this is a good measuring stick.

Easier to stay near the top, than to ascend.

Let the chips fall where they may. We do need to see how this team deals with adversity. Until we do, we will have that question mark.

I think Roden gets Friday, and Saville on Saturday. Or maybe you stick with what worked last weekend. Either way, still split time. But things can change based on how Friday goes.

Already recorded? Not time sensitive. Teases. You cannot control me.

No shoutout for me? I'm done listening.

Agree with many things Chris states.  Most of all, I haven't listened to much of anything Jason has said since I learned he was an Avs fan haha!

I thought we've had several Monday night exhibitions.  But I don't really remember what happened yesterday so who knows.

Ties are not bad.  A full student section is good.

Won't get CBSSN much during football season.  Would be nice though.

Also tired of blackouts.  Granted I'm not looking forward to ANY Wild games this year, I usually look forward to Wild-Avs games but Avs are blacked out here, 7 hours away.

Sweep isn't the worst, if we're competitive.

As you suggest Ryan, I recall a number of Monday exhibitions...

In recent years it has been less frequent, but fairly common in the Qwest Center/CenturyLink days...

Chris: Thanks for finding the information on the 2007 Maverick Stampede. I knew that we played Manitoba in the Stampede at one point...

Avs are only blacked out on Cox in this market because Qwest and Dish carry Altitude -- which Cox does not.

That said, you can only get Altitude on Qwest, right now (if anywhere) because Dish is on their annual Mountain Dewing contest with broadcasters.
