Good morning! We’re back on track now and on a GAME WEEK! The UNO hockey team (6-10-2, 2-5-1-1) on to the Front Range this weekend to take on the University of Denver (12-4-2, 4-4-0-0). The Pioneers have been surprisingly (to some) successful under 29-year-old first-year coach and head of the Ginger Hockey Coach Association David Carle. Last weekend DU swept Wisconsin in Madison. The Mavs will be looking for at least one win here to continue their momentum but there are no easy victories in the meat grinder.
The series will be played on Friday and Saturday at Magness Arena in Denver. Friday’s game is scheduled for 8:37 PM CT while Saturday’s game is scheduled for 8:07 PM CT. Friday’s game will be exclusively on CBS Sports Network (No NCHC.TV) while Saturday’s game will be on NCHC.TV. Both games are on the radio at 1180 AM or on the TuneIn Radio app.

OPPONENT WATCH: It was a mixed weekend for the NCHC. North Dakota learned that you should never travel to an Atlantic Hockey rink and were swept by Canisius. A short-handed Minnesota Duluth team lost to the US U18 team. Western Michigan won the Ice Vegas Invitational by beating UConn and Air Force.
STANDINGS: UNO is 7th in the NCHC, 31st in the Pairwise.
