Good listen.  I like how you mentioned some season for UNO in the past where it felt "we were gonna go on a 50 game home win streak...."  Yeah, no, nobody's going on a 50 game home win streak.  But I appreciate the idea of dramatizing the feeling at that moment.

I also made it to a Lancer game recently and was going to put something on the fb site, but I dunno, I didn't, time got away from me.  Hadn't been to a Lancer game in awhile, had some family in town and went to check it out.  The fan experience is pretty fun at those games.  I think there's things they do and songs they play that you wouldn't get away with at UNO games.  Probably not going to hear Sir Mix a Lot at a UNO game.  UNO's a more family friendly type place.  I do appreciate the type of fan that goes to UNO games, and I'll leave it at that.  They need to crank the music a little bit at UNO games though, and play some better funner crap that make people have fun.

I don't remember what other tidbits I had to say after listening to the podcast last week.  There were no UNO commits on Des Moines.  Cameron Berg scored a rather impressive goal, I like his speed and tenacity.  The level of hockey just isn't quite as good.  I suppose that would be expected.  I feel the same way at many UNO games when it compare it to watching NHL games.  And that would be expected as well.  The talent level in the NHL is just unprecedented.  The plays they make in the NHL is stupid, particularly on the power play, so good at everything.

I hadn’t been to a Lancer game for a few years either, Ryan.

Still miss the days of watching them at Ak-Sar-Ben Coliseum, but they still have some of that blue collar fan base.

Glad to hear that Berg looked good in the game you saw. He’s pretty young. It’ll be interesting to see if he makes it to UNO when all is said and done — and how he looks at that point.
