Will be interesting how things turn out. Looks like a pretty full house. Unless something happens, they have 8 defensemen and 13 forwards. Not a lot of room, and some really good looking recruits.

Omaha will only have 8 defencemen on the roster, again, this season.

Per reports from the BLC Golf shindig, only 3 freshmen coming in -- though, 8 new faces.

In another discussion (or maybe it was here), I suggested 9 would be my preferred number -- but with Gabinet consistently running 7 for games, we should probably carry 10.

Razor thin margins on the roster.

But something to think about... if the club team can get organized and build a bit, those margins disappear. There have been a couple teams that used club programs to supplement their varsity sides.

That was my thoughts exactly. Nine defensemen and 15 forwards. Couple of injuries and they’re screwed.

I'll be interested to see how the team looks this season. I had been thinking (going into the offseason) that we'd bring more freshmen in. But it looks like the trend of bringing transfer portal players in is continuing.

One of the key hopes on offense is Tanner Ludtke and it will be interesting to see how the freshman fits into the lineup. Will he be a top-line forward to start the season?

If you had asked me two years ago, I would have said no. Seeing him at 'the Tourney' he looked small and thin.

Now, he's 6'-0", 185 lbs. There's a chance.

I think the key addition is Noah Ellis. He's another offensive defenseman. But weapons are weapons, and Omaha make it look like you will need to account for all five players in the offense end. I'm not sure a lot of teams can boast that.
