The best part of the 120-foot bank pass to beat Tychonick: Tychonick looked at his partner – who was on the other side of the ice – like it was the partner’s fault.
Niagara’s goaltending was not good. Really, no better than Omaha’s. The difference was the defense around them. The Purple Eagles cleared the second chances, and the goaltender was a little charmed in where rebounds ended up.
Is Jason suggesting that Gabinet is too much of a player’s coach? Also, YES – the system is crap. I don’t like this collapsing defense that leaves us exposed on the weak flank. Need to try something else.
Proctor was awful all weekend. But I think it was in the Mankato game where it looked like he was hurting. Beginning to wonder if he’s not 100%. But with Ludtke out, and only eight defensemen… he’s got to play.
One of the (several) failings since Gabinet has taken over: weak sticks. We need to be strong on the twigs.

I do like seeing old CCHA opponents on the schedule. Also, like that we try to grab teams from each conference – though, it’s a bit tougher with us scheduling independents to help them out.
