OK, three posts that are nearly coherent and say the same thing.

I'm not letting you off the hook, here: What is your solution? ...Or are you just going to female dog all season?

Saturday seemed better than Friday, made me think of the Friday Saturday curse that is a consistent theme with UNO... I mean, Omaha. What's up with that? Preferred it when they were called the Mavericks.

There were fewer turnovers in the Omaha zone which doomed them on Friday. Passing was way better Saturday.

They just couldn't seal the deal Saturday.

Not sure who is the better goaltender.

It's the first series of the season. There is so much time to polish what I think is a good start despite the outcome.

Kucharski gave up a couple soft goals, Friday. Latkoczy had a howler on the second goal, and is leaving a lot of rebounds.

Based on those two observations, I would have Latkoczy ahead of Kucharski: clearing rebounds is fixable. Soft goals are not.

I like the positive thoughts. Both games were there for the taking. Self-inflicted wounds killed us.

Friday I felt Omaha controlled play.

Saturday, Omaha were the "better" team... but the game was just a bore. Like watching tennis. I was in the arena, and I could hear Casey Roehl constantly talking about "alternating possession..."

Yes, definitely some questions at goaltending. I though Simon was out of position several times and that Jake needed to be more "engaged". Also thought play seemed choppy and that went against us. Hopefully it was just a bad weekend, only time (5 days) will tell...

Ended up being at a short notice wedding Saturday, but Friday it seemed like nobody had any idea a lot of the time where the puck was , where they were supposed to be, or where other UNO players were. I saw several instances where the puck was in the UNO zone and none of the players had any idea where it was. It was usually behind them, and they only learned where it was when a Niagara player skated past them to get it.   And frequently 3 players ended up  covering one Niagara player so nobody was available to cover any other Niagara  player who was in or who entered the same area when UNO was at Niagara’s end of the rink.

    I have a bad feeling about this……

Can we blame any of this on the fog?

Seriously, coming out of the intermissions it was like being in the Buffalo Aud or Chicago Stadium or Boston Garden with the cigar smoke wafting up to us in the nose bleed seats.

No, not the fog (though I’m not a fan), on ice communication more likely. Glad it’s behind us and hope Gabinet ‘shows up’ and has some ass this week. Either they fix it quick or North Dakota will be an incredibly long weekend.

    With their fans... barf.

Don't get the hate on Gabs... it's not like he says they had a good practice every week like Scott Frost. I have to invest in a monocular to see his expressions on the bench.

Not to derail but it seems like there is a cult like admiration for gabinet.

(I still need to make my blais hater (tm) t-shirt btw....

I never liked the hire and still don't.  -- Think UNO went cheap on the hire and should have gone after someone else.
