Picked up on a few visual cues. And it was confirmed by members of this community that Omaha will have new sweaters this season.
Should I start complaining about how they're going to muck this up, or wait until they actually do it?
Any Intel on what they look like?
None.
In addition to the fact that the team was wearing practice jerseys (I wonder if they will be auctioned at some point), it seemed like a number of "people in the know" were talking to me about jerseys... how they'd like to see the bull on the jersey... how the grey jerseys are coming back. I don't know if there will actually be new jerseys or not. But Jonny Tychonick told fans in the autograph line that the home jerseys were coming. Now... whether or not that has to do with the fact that they have to be named/numbered — or if it means they are waiting on a new design — is hard to say. Some preview images of the team's intro video shows the black "OMAHA" jerseys (it would make sense to keep those for the road).
The roadies looked sharp when we first debuted them. But I still find them a bit blah. We can run a list of what I don't like about them.
That said, I'm OK with spreading out new sweaters over a couple seasons. Home one year, road the next.
Is this it?
No.
It would need to be from adidas.
Also, wouldn't meet the NCAA numbering requirements.
Heard a two-part rumor today.
1. The 'new' sweaters were debuted on Saturday. They're 'new' because they don't have the 25th anniversary patch.
2. AD wants the team to wear grey more often.
I have to say my favorite is the whites. Put the O on them and move on. Not a fan of the grays. If he wants them to wear them they can wear them on the road.
Grey is such a blah color. It's also not an official school color. Can do without it.
I want to go back to being crimson and black.
