No Weiss? Where did he go?

24 on the roster, I would think that to be light. 8 defensemen, 14 forwards and 2 goaltenders. I expected 28, but I have been incorrect (often). Seems that we could use a few. The portal? Bring one or two early? Lurie, Van Houtte-Cachero? Charbonneau? Again, looking to the web, Weiss isn't listed anywhere...

Weiss is undecided on a return, but just showed up on Colorado's development camp roster. (Does not effect his ability to return.)

9 incoming freshmen, and 1 transfer.

I think we counted 14 departures. So, I'm guessing 1 more goalie, and 3 more skaters.

Anyone hearing any rumors on who that goalie is?

Let me say, I have heard a couple rumors -- including that Omaha already has a goalie lined up, but there is a catch.

I don't know who it is, but some details of what I've heard are leading me to three names.

I'd like to know who else has heard something. Maybe we can cobble it all together.

I’ve been looking around but have heard nothing credible. I thought Houtte-Cachero, Lurie and Charbonneau were locks, but it seems I was wrong. There were several portal goaltenders available but they must have passed or Gabinet did. Glad to see Lemay and Guevin but time grows short. Hope Weiss joins, a known quantity, but time isn’t on our side.

TSN story mentioned Charbonneau was headed back to the BCHL this year. He's 18. NBD.

Van Houtte and Lurie are still just 19. They've got another year of juniors. So, likewise... NBD. I don't think either will be harmed by another year at those levels. Their numbers last year were solid. We know we're rebuilding next year, so why not hold them off to when they are addition pieces, not the 'circle' players?

The elephant in the room is Kucharski. He's still out there. But someone raised the question of why he missed AIC's NCAA game.

Someone also suggested to me that Omaha has a goalie on the line, but that player hasn't secured a release from their current school. That leads me to believe that goalie is not in the portal.

Last night, I suggested I had three names to fill that spot. Research has narrowed it down to two: Kucharski... and someone from a team that grabbed another goalie out of the portal.

good points Chris, the tender will be interesting, especially if it's a non-portal add. The skaters though, I agree with your points, but where are we going to find 3 guys?

So Susie Dunn is claiming “inside scoop” on Kucharski, posting a tweet from “jake33kucharski” as evidence. I find his Twitter handle as Koho1 and the jake33kucharski doesn’t find anyone..

    Ok, more of my chatter...

    Portal Goaltender: Kucharski

Portal Forwards: Lapid from Canisius and Sheriff from Mercyhurst.
