Because it's never too early to start thinking about Omaha Hockey.  In addition to the NCHC schedule that has been published, I saw Alaska Fairbanks has a home and home with us on their schedule.  They are here Oct. 15 and 16.  With a series in Alaska Nov. 19th and 20th.

Interesting! I’m surprised we are playing them twice…

Seems to me they had a home and home series with ASU a few years back

We did play home-home with Arizona State a few years ago.

Obviously Kemp has never been afraid to help out a program in need. We had series with Wayne State (MI) and Findlay. We also dumped a series with Maine the first time UAH threatened to quit -- so both teams could play them.

We appear to have an agreement to play ASU every year -- it's been mentioned publicly. And I suspect Kemp and a few others are going to bend over backwards to help Alaska.

Obviously the loss of Huntsville and Anchorage (who were both on the original schedule last year) has likely left a couple holes in this years calendar. I also suspect the team talking to Robert Morris about a series when the university pulled the plug... was Omaha.

Jon, do you know if games in Alaska are exempted anymore?  I vaguely remember the exemption going away around the same time Omaha left the CCHA for the WCHA -- which killed the Stampede.

I think maybe they are… not sure, though. If so, we might play 38 reg season games instead of 36.

We are not on Arizona State's schedule this year.  It was released today.  Our exhibition game Oct 2 is Lake Superior State

Thanks for the info LSSU, I have been checking schedules almost daily and must have missed that one or it was not previously announced.

The BLC must have gotten the verbiage wrong.   LSSU would count as a regular season contest.

Is it just me or has UNO been slow to release the entire schedule this year?
