Three Mavs were honored by the NCHC as Players of the Week for the DU series — Miller, Tychonick, and Kucharski.

My write-up: A Mav Triple Threat Honored as NCHC Players of the Week

I thought the Friday night game was the best performance we'd seen out of UNO in several years.

Saturday's result was more sobering, but you eliminate a couple of weird bounces and the Mavs might have swept the series.

Gabinet mentioned in last week's Tuesday presser that he thought sometimes it is a manner of "will over skill" that gets the job done in these games. I think that was on display Friday night.

The question is whether or not we can keep having positive results, or if the rest of the conference will figure us out down the stretch... I'm curious to see.

A little shocked to see three Mavericks take home honors.

I don't think it's happened before, and I'm not sure it'll happen again anytime soon. But nice to see the Mavs get some love.

I will say that Tychonick was certainly deserving.

Kucharski... he did give up five on Saturday. (And I'm not one for "goalies who get shutouts are automatically the #1 star of the game.)

Miller probably should have won earlier this season a few times.
