Latkoczy is looking a but like Tomek, right now.

But... unlike Tomek, Latkoczy has actually played a full 60 minutes in one collegiate game.

    A couple things:

We don't know what happened in the first 8 minutes of tonight's game. Was it goaltending, or a team "effort" to fall behind 4-0?

That said, Latkoczy will start a game next weekend, unless something unepxected happens. You have to get him back on the horse, or you might lose him mentally, permanently. (Re: Oldham, Tomek)

As I mentioned earlier, Tomek NEVER played a full 60 minute college game, at Omaha or Grand Forks. Latkoczy has, so maybe not as dire of a situation as when Tomek started against Notre Dame, got shelled, and I was hoping Gabinet would leave him in (no matter how bad it got), just to get him through 60.

Kucharski looks like he's settling in. AIC had the best GAA in Atlantic Hockey last season, Kucharski had the second best GAA in the conference, and Kucharski was the goalie of the year in the conference.

I just have a feeling he'll become the go-to netminder when North Dakota rolls into town. Could be wrong, but once Gabinet finds a steady performer, he generally sticks with him.

It was interesting to hear on the radio broadcast that Raythan Robbins is still with the team (after Schlossman suggested on Twitter that he was headed to the USHL). Depending on how things shake out, we could see him.

Hopefully, Latkoczy will get back on track. SAM mentions Tomek and Oldham — I hope his fortunes are better the next few series.

Just saying: being the top goaltender in the AHA, is like being the King of Luxembourg.

The Grand Duke of Luxembourg is worth $4 billion...

And if Kucharski stays solid in net, he'll be worth at least as much to the Mavs... ;-)

Latkoczy redeemed himself in my eyes. Played well, stopped pucks he should have, managed rebounds, wandered a bit for me but that is his style I suppose.

We may need to fetch the Chris Holt Memorial Bungee Cords out of storage for him.
